A Walk Around Town

Time spent with family is a precious gift that I far too often take for granted. Treasure the time you have with loved ones, make the most of life, live life to the fullest, live your life to God's glory, even in the little things.

A couple Saturdays ago we took the afternoon to just be together as a family. Something that lately hasn't happened much. I relished the time spent with one another, letting go of all the distractions of the week and the problems and just enjoying each other's company.

We spent the afternoon eating yummy food and walking around Boston Common.

I love the city of Boston

It was a beautiful day for a walk around town

Still Growing

Our family has some exciting news to share! We are ADOPTING AGAIN!!! Maybe we will make this a yearly occurrence :) Some may think us crazy, but that is fine with me. I am getting a new little brother!!! What could be better than giving a kiddo a family.
There is still much paperwork to be done and many legal things to be worked through. God has been opening doors in ways we didn't expect and so far everything is falling into place wonderfully. Please pray with us as we work out all the logistics so we can bring our little brother home!

Saturday Morning Ramblings...

It has been quite some time since I have blogged and well, I feel as if it is time to make a new post :) It's already Spring, how that happened I don't know. Well the calender says Spring, but on this windy 35 degree day it doesn't feel to much like Spring around here. I am looking forward to starting my garden with Nastya and Maxim and enjoying some warm weather!

A couple weekends ago I had the opportunity to make a trip out to visit my brother and his beautiful wife who is expecting their first little one! The visit was wonderful, a sweet time to be with family who I don't always get to see.

While there I had the privilege of taking some maternity photos!

"For you formed my inward parts; you knitted me together in my mother’s womb"
Psalm 139:13

There are a lot of uncertainties right now for me and I have let myself get a little stressed over life... In my mind I hear the verse "oh ye of little faith". God has always provided for my needs, so why do I let the things of this world take my eyes off that?! I came across this verse this morning and it deeply comforted me. James 1:1-6 "Count it all joy, my brothers, when you meet trials of various kinds, for you know that the testing of your faith produces steadfastness. And let steadfastness have its full effect, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking nothing. If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask God, who gives generously to all without reproach, and it will be given him. But let him ask in faith, with no doubting, for the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea that is driven and tossed by the wind."

This is a powerful heart breaking video I saw this week. Brought tears streaming down my face.

It gave me a little look into what my dear siblings go through, and SO SO MANY like them. I know I will never fully understand, how could I? They have been through so much in their lives. There are children all around the world being hurt and wanting unconditional love! They only push you away because they want to be loved, they want to see at what point will you throw in the towel and give up like everyone else who has in their lives. This is my passion, to see no more orphans, for people to rise up and take in the needy, to love and cherish them.

There are my ramblings for today. May you all have a wonderful weekend!
